This trail is a loop which runs entirely through the mountains and woods of Gavín. It will exceed the expectations and demands of any mountain biker. It is a steep climb, but both the ascent and the descent provide comfortable riding.
You leave Gavín village by the greenway heading for the San Bartolomé Valley. Take extra care at this stage as the path is very exposed where it runs over the tunnel at Gavín. Once past that point, the trail makes its way by forest track, climbing all the time towards the highest point of the trail, but it is manageable. The last section of the ascent is on a mountain path and you have to push the bike at certain times. It leads to the top of Iguarra Hill, which offers unrivalled views of the Alto Serrablo and the Tendeñera and Partacua mountain ranges. From that privileged point you start the descent. The downhill is not very technically difficult and so is suitable for all cyclists. Your reward awaits you on the descent as you make a smooth and fun downhill run thanks to the changes in terrain and the gradient.
