This trail takes you through Sobremonte and the old Escuer village. The route starts with a climb up through the Arás ravine until you reach the little village of Yosa. From here you take a track through a beech grove. This track leads onto to a fun downhill path bringing you to the castle after which the route is named. When you leave Escuer, take special care as you will have to cross the N-260 road in order to return to Biescas by the right bank of the River Gallego.
